I must admit a Draconian Flame Thrower would be neat...except I imagine it more like a Roman Candle. Also this is a thought...I know we are going to have the Free Peoples...but we could replace them with a more Eastern oriented faction. This would grant us the ability to use Samuri, Asian soldiers including Ninja's and Persian like soldiers to represent a more middle eastern faction. I like the idea of ninjas and the like just to mix it up a little. As for the flamethrower... maybe something like the flaming sword in How to Train Your Dragon 2? One take on dragons is that they have gas inside them that they burn so if you could remove the gas (in liquid like gasoline of as a vapor) that could power a "flamethrower" of sorts. Maybe even something like napalm? I was thinking along the line of the Greek Fire during the byzantine empire i35.tinypic.com/a10pe1.jpgOh and how about repeater crossbow too. using a lever or crank to load a new bolt into it

I don't know if we should ever go past very primitive use of gunpowder weapons (flintlock pistols, rifles etc. but they would be VERY inaccurate.) Swords and bows should still be the average foot soldiers weapon of choice.

Well I would imagine to field troops with firearms it would have a heavy cost at this stage since the tech would be new and hard to get.

Indeed, we should really make a section inventions because I have some great ideas! I agree, personally I think we should allow the members of LoB to help come up with the storyline and give suggestions and criticism instead of having a small group of members dedicated to making the story, what do you guys think?

As fun as it would be to have everyone deciding what's happening, it's impractical. Once we have to many members, we wouldn't be able to go anywhere with the story, people would have too many opposing ideas, and the group would fall apart. We should have a closely knit group of leaders, that objectively lead the groups story.
You have to remember, this is an RPG, a role playing game, players get to decide what THEY do, and they're decisions will still effect the world around them. However, it's not up to players to build the world they're in. (well, I guess you do get to build it out of legos, but you get what I mean.)

What I'm trying to say is that we let the the members give suggestions and ideas to the council and we use those ideas to make the story line

That's a not bad idea Tommy. Although I think that is why we could have a thread dedicated to suggestions (Suggest a Story Box) for story that the Council can take into mind when they go to push out the next point of the story. This way members still have a say, but ultimately its up to the Council to act on it.

If I join a nation could I be the leader of that nation?

I think we should all start with new characters just to make this from the beginning since we are restarting the group.

I actually like that idea. Then again I would also like us to keep some characters as NPU's for the factions to make things more interesting. In the sense an NPU can be built or put into anyone's story.

Not sure about NPU'S but if you want NPU characters then I guess they could be like minor characters to your main person.

Well I was thinking more along the lines of the main leader of the faction being an NPU that anyone could insert into a scene.
