I thought Greater Antaria could be it's own faction.

Proposed factions include:
- Platinus
- Greater Antaria
- Draconia
-Dragswood/Myst

Platinus is a mainstay...the difference is we wouldn't make it an Admin faction...it would be open to membership and would have a Faction Overseer and Faction Captain like all the factions. We could also create a third member which would be the Faction Recruiter who would search through the various Lego settings (Flickr, Ipernity, and MOCpages) for recruiting to their faction.
Draconia was the strongest faction...so they made sense to carry over. However, Manicle was pointing out it might be neat to make pledge nations. Greater Antaria due to proximity would make sense to be a pledge to Draconia. I was thinking though we should also remake the map and size of the nations and move places to be closer together.
Dragswood would also make a great pledge to Draconia...both share similar colour schemes.
Terros and the Myst could go to Eidfjordenhall with Kaldrland.
As for Daien it would be like Amroth and part of Platinus. Daien could be the Republic of Daien and Amroth the Dutchy of Amroth.

Could we possibly make Andaras (my current character's city) it's own "faction" and I could use my old "Map of Arondor" and add it (somehow), into the new LoB map?

We could easily add Arondor to the map. I personally liked the place quite a bit.
However, it being its own faction...could raise some other concerns with everyone else. We will see and could have a vote on it to see if we want to have new faction names altogether for some regions.

I am Pretty sure that the three factions which have been chosen by Matt would make the most sense to use in the new group. I would propose that the other countries be used as Pledged countries, and could still be joined, but every member would still be under one of the three factions. Like Matt said, Dragswood<Draconia Kaldrland<Eidfjordenhall Terros<Platinus etc.
The only exception should be Myst, which I believe should be some sort of unjoinable country, that can be used by the Admins for plot advancement; I don't think it was very active in the old LoB anyways, seeing how it was a difficult faction to build for. Still, it was mighty interesting, and could be used for GAC's and such.

Yeah Myst was pretty much run by one person anyways after the early stages of LoB, from Tim to Me, and we didn't really have many people building for it.

Sounds good to me. So that could leave us with the alternative option to pledge nations which would be NPL's (Non-Playable Lands) which are just there for story purposes like the Myst. After all I have a few Khrinn and a few other people might have them...but with Tim's departure to study land...it limits the use of Khrinn in the game universe.

Well, it might be good if we can still join the pledged countries, you would just have loyalty to your commanding faction. So if someone wanted to join Terros, they could, but they would still be loyal to Platinus.

That would make sense. On the same token I believe I mentioned we will change the structure of how things are managed. Although RBC pulled over the basic details from the group and did an awesome job at it. We will no longer have silent Admin's. The leader of a faction will be given the title of Faction Overseer and have the powers of a Global Moderator which means they will have the same powers as an Admin. They will need to be active to maintain their position and support. Financier's of the group like RBC and myself though will retain Hearth Master placings. In this sense we could be just regular members but kept privy of things if we wanted or if by election are accepted could be FO's. FC's will be appointed by the FO's though and FR's too. The FC will have the same powers though as the FO, but must adhere and remember that the FO is the leader.

Welcome Bristolian! It should be more fun to use this forum than the old flickr one where things continually got lost and well...it was hard to maintain.
